During a relocation the engineer pumps down the refrigerant (legally F-gas work), dismounts the units and mounts and vacuums the system at the new position. New pipework or a new wall passage is often needed.
Expect € 300 to € 750 per relocation, depending on the distance and whether it concerns the indoor unit, the outdoor unit or the complete installation. A house move adds transport.
With an older unit, weigh honestly whether relocating still pays: the engineer advises whether reuse or replacement is the better deal.
